Day 13: Favourite Promo Picture

Why do I like it? Because it has numerous features I love:



1. They look like a threesome. I wish.
   
2. They're touching. No, more than that, I like the way in which they're touching. Ianto is resting his hand on Jack's knee as if finding a refuge; both claiming and supplicating. Jack is not just touching Gwen's arm, he's clutching it, you can see the muscles in his arm. Another sort of claiming?
   
3. I like it that they aren't looking at each other. Jack is staring at the camera/viewer as if trying to figure them out. Gwen looks as if she's contemplating something, lost in her thoughts. Ianto has his eyes lowered, keeping his thoughts and feelings to himself - or offering them to Jack.
   
4. It has a submissive Ianto. I love a submissive Ianto.
   
5. Actually, I like all the poses. Characteristic.
   
6. I love the way they're dressed - Jack in his braces, Ianto in his vest, Gwen in boots.
   
7. Nice Torchwood setting.
   
8. Interesting lighting.
   


On my first choice, I'd picked this picture (for obvious reasons), but changed my mind:



And even though I don't like the pictures themselves so much, on principle I like the publicity photos for Children of Earth which showed Jack and Ianto embracing. How many shows are advertised with pictures of the hero and his boyfriend?



Come to think of it, my Captain John promo picture above shows Jack with his (ex-) boyfriend, too. But it isn't so obvious.
