Watched Fringe tonight. It wasn't as high-powered as some episodes of late, but I liked the plot, and I particularly liked the references to the Olivia/Peter relationship. And Walter was wonderful.
- Weiss! We saw Weiss again! With Nina this time. And what's that about him writing the "First People" book? I want to learn his story. Does it imply... what, that there is time travel as well as dimensional travel? Why not - it seems the Observers can do it. Or are there other explanations? Was the book a plant?
- Is Peter really thinking about the other Olivia? Well, yes, probably - but I'm not sure how to take the information. I think there's a plot-related intent to make Peter seem untrustworthy that's going to build to a climax sometime soon. Or maybe the end of the season.
- I continue to love the hints and bits mentioning Bell.
- Olivia all done up in a dress and make-up. Wow.
- And shooting straight, too. Shooting to kill. That's our Olivia!
- "Concentrate and Ask Again" - I didn't realize at first that the title is an 8-ball line.
- Interesting look at telepathy. I figure the person they really needed was Emma Frost.
- That being said, why didn't Walter go after that guy on other occasions when telepathy would have been useful? I thought he was going to take the guy in the coma into his lab and do the mind-reading thing he did with Olivia back in the first episode. More cortexiphan magic.
