The 30 Days of Marvel meme:
Day #18: Your favorite comic to screen character adaptation.
- Spider-Man - not my notion of Peter Parker, but the in-costume scenes were great.
- Daredevil - No one was good enough, especially Jennifer Garner as a very wimpy Elektra.
- Fantastic Four - The characters weren't bad, but somewhat miscast, and Johnny should have been more appealing.
- Iron Man - Tony Stark was terrific. But, aside from Black Widow, the character who really impressed me was Pepper Potts. I'd always written her off as irrelevant in the comics. Here, she makes a great female lead and a great foil for Tony.
- X-Men - The men were all very well done, the women were terrible - though Storm looked stunning. Wolverine especially was magnificent, but that's what happens when you take one of the most handsome, sexy actors alive and give him the role of an ugly, short, hairy guy. Good thing Hugh Jackman is so talented. Good thing he clearly loves playing Wolvie.
- Thor - I'm looking forward to this mightily. With some trepidation, of course. Ditto The Avengers.
Black Widow, in Iron Man 2. She's everything I could have hoped, and more.

The only problem with her is that she isn't in the movie enough, though I loved what scenes she had - especially the action sequences. And they associated her with S.H.I.E.L.D. This makes me very happy.
And yes, I want a Black Widow movie - one with Scarlet Johansson and a good script.
