January fog...

I woke up to fog this morning. Fog, on New Year's Day! Usually January 1 is bitterly cold, though not as bitterly cold as New Year's Even can be - one of many reasons I stopped going to New Year's Eve parties.

So today it's mild and foggy, and I don't know what that portends, but I think it's beautiful.

The view from my back yard - not that I really have anything like a back yard, it's the view of the canal from the parking lot in the back of my apartment building.

That's the kind of weather I like, too. Good for walking in. Sadly, we're colder now - more seasonal. So it goes. Deep freeze on its way, I'm sure.
