Christmas Eve...

What a great day.

Okay, I spent way too much of it obsessing over The 106th King Williams College Quiz, to some effect. But that was totally fun. I love this kind of puzzle.

Then lunacy_gal came over for lunch. We exchanged presents, and watched Fringe 1x02, "Same Old Story". Then we joined maaseru, Ysabelle and Pim for snacks and talk at maaseru's place. I did my exercises by running and dancing in her living room. No one seemed to mind.

The we went to Panda Garden, to have a lovely meal with Sheila, Ian, Tasia, and Peter. Afterwards, I went with Sheila and Ian to look at the Christmas lights throughout the city. Confederation Square is particulalry nice. The lights on Parliament Hill aren't impressive, but the snowflake lights all over the Parliament Buildings are wonderful.

I even baked cookies, which I haven't done much for years, mostly because my oven worked so badly. Total, delicious success. The cookies were Fake Gumdrop Cookies, an old favourite from my mother's 1944 edition of The Joy of Cooking, though they aren't there under that name.
