There were two books I wanted, so today I looked them up on amazon.ca.

The first, a historical novel I'd heard about, I thought would be easy to get, and I could afford it. I was wrong. It was $219.00.

The second, a hard-cover about origami that I've checked out of the library many times, I thought would be way too expensive, but worth checking on. It turned out to be $0.85. Came to a whopping total of about $7 with postage.

So I'm happy about one, and grumpy about the other, and there's just no knowing till you look.

You can never tell book prices. And you can never tell how much the postage is going to add to the price of the book, especially if you happen to order internationally.
You know www.addall.com? Enables you to compare not only the price of the book but price+postage. Found it very useful in the past.
