Lip Service...

As entertainment today while exercising my arm, I watched Lip Service, a new BBC programme about Lesbians in Glasgow.
It reminded me of The L Word, of course, with a Scottish flavour, and Queer as Folk, only with girls.
I certainly liked it enough to watch more.
- At first I only liked Frankie and Jay, but by the end of the episode the others had grown on me, especially Tess.
- Loved the plot about Tess and Lou.
- The whole sequence with Tess and Ed hiding under her ex's bed was so silly I almost stopped watching the show, or at least, almost stopped respecting it. But it redeemed itself.
- Have I mentioned how much I liked Frankie? And why do I always most like the most oversexed and promiscuous characters in any given show? (Don't answer that!) Oh course, I also liked it that Frankie seems to be bisexual.
- How tall is Ruta Gedmintas, anyway?
- Interesting that in the promo picture that I linked to above, they show two men, both of them straight. Yes, the men are in the show, but it's really about the women.
- The relationship between Frankie and her family (especially her aunt) was interesting. I felt sorry for the mousy, grieving cousin. I liked all the scenes at the funeral parlour.
- I wish I found it so easy to pick up beautiful woman. Now or ever...
Seems to me I have several shows to watch which have nice Lesbian scenes, but what is there now with men getting together sexually or romantically? No more Queer as Folk, Torchwood is between seasons... Am I missing something? I'm pretty sure I must be.
