Waiting for Godot....
Nov. 6th, 2003 08:29 pmWell, actually, I'm waiting for my friends Pat and Sandi to bring over a piece of furniture - a dresser. They're due any time soon.
More and more I'm in a decluttering mode: getting rid of things, trying to give myself space rather than things. I wonder how much I'll manage it? The new furniture is supposed to be a move in the right direction.
I've also been enjoying reading about tarot cards lately, refreshing myself on new ideas about reading them. I was supposed to give a reading to a few friends last week - it didn't happen, but I'll still do it. The reading is renewing my interest, making me want to explore new techniques and ideas.
Hmm... I could do a reading for Lex.
And hey, maybe a Tarot reading would give me some idea of what was happening on Carnivale!

Date: 2003-11-07 05:59 pm (UTC)Looking into my box... I also have "I Tarocchi Marvel" (an Italian thing based on Marvel superheroes), Dylan Dog - which, now I look at it, really isn't a tarot deck at all, it's a beatiful artistic deck of regular playing cards, but I always thought it would be great for a tarot reading. I also have the Egyptian Tarot Deck and the Aquarian Tarot and the Neil Gaiman/Dave McKean Sandman tarot set.
I wouldn't take much to push me over into the realms of the card-collector, but I try to show some self-control.
I've seen the "Tarot of the Cat People" in stores but I've never actually handled it, or had a reading with it, or done a reading with it.
Do you have a favourite book about tarot? A reference book or anything like that?
