This is in the series started with the dodecals "Priorities" and "Desire" - ficlets of 144 words each. It could be said to be fulfilling the mandate of svdodecals #21, a scene missing from "Phoenix" or "Extinction".

Prelude

Somehow they reached Lex's bedroom. Lex closed the door behind him and they leaned against it, kissing, hands rubbing backs, hips touching, thighs pressed together, cocks aching.

"You must have had quite a summer in Metropolis," Lex murmured, and Clark blushed.

"Not really. I... I just wanted you."

"Meaning?" Lex's lips trailed along Clark's neck.

"I waited for you."

Lex's eyes widened. "Girls throwing themselves at you? The cream of Metropolis manhood chasing you? You didn't do anything?"

"Just kissing and stuff."

"Stuff?"

"Yeah."

Lex's fingers slipped under Clark's T-shirt, exploring the expanse of his chest. "This kind of stuff?" Fingertips had found a nipple. Clark's eyes widened.

"No. No one ever.... Oh!"

Lex's lips were against Clark's throat, his free hand on Clark's ass. "Am I going too fast?"

"You couldn't go too fast." His voice deepened. "Lex. Please. More."

"Anything," promised Lex, velvet-voiced.

This is gonna be a novel made up of a whooooole buncha dodecals when you get done with it, isn't it? :) Not that this would bother me in the least! Yum!

The truth is, I don't like the way dodecals (or drabbles) sound when you string them together. I don't mind a series when the parts are read separately, but the nature of the dodecal makes the pacing static and the narrative chopping if you put a bunch together - in my opinion.

So this is like a series of snapshots, not at film. If I wrote it as a story on its own, it would be like a film. Smooth. More detailed.

But... for what it is... it's fun to do.
