Watched:

  1. Human Target 1x09: I don't much like this show (though I like the premise), and I certainly don't like Mark Valley, who plays the lead, but I watched this episode because Peter Wingfield was in it - quite possibly my favourite actor of all time. As the villain, of course. And Grace Park, whom I adored in Battlestar Galactica. How I would love Human Target, if Peter Wingfield played Christopher Chance, instead of some random villain! And I noticed that the ending was incredibly slashy - if only the guys were remotely attractive.
  2. Wonderfalls 1x01 - kind of cute and quirky; I wasn't charmed at first (and it took me a while to come to like the protagonist), but it won me over by the end.
  3. Chancer 1x01 - The young Clive Owen was delectable, but I didn't much enjoy the story.
  4. Castle 2x17, "Tick, Tick, Tick..." Loved it as always. Castle re Kate Becket: "Aside from my second wife, this is the most sexless relationship I've ever been in." I also love him telling her that Kate Beckinsale should pay Nikki Heat in the movie version...
  5. The Vintner's Luck; my comments are here.
  6. La Danse, which [livejournal.com profile] maaseru recorded from PBS. But it went too late, so we'll watch the ending another time.

Man... I love/dork out on Human Target so much. Mark Valley might not be the best actor ever (but neither is he the worst), but I love love love the crack that the show is. It makes me even swallow the violence, and that's saying something. And then there is Jackie Earle Haley, who is, well, amazing. And for all it's crack and relatively cheap, as far as stories go (come on. Flying a jet plane flipped upside down...), the attention to detail is breathtaking. In the dorky way. (So far, off the top of my head, they've spoken Japanese, Russian, Spanish, and, um, at least one more. And while Valley had some English accent to his Spanish? His Russian was spot on, if slowish.)

And the guest stars. Mmmm. Besides Peter Wingfield, there have been... heh. A bunch more. Just the ones I recognize:
- Tricia Helfer (From Spn - Road Kill)
- Danny Glover (Dur.)
- Emmanuelle Vaugier (Spn - Heart)
- Sean Maher (Dur. It was funny, because his ep on HT and on the Mentalist aired, I believe, in the same week. I got Simon Tam overload. Ish.)
- Dylan Neal (primarily from Blood Ties, but also Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers: To Live and Die in Starlight)
- Mitch Pileggi (... yeah.)
- Samantha Ferris (Spn)
- Lennie James (okay, I didn't know him, but.)
- Christopher Heyerdahl (Spn)
- Amy Acker (Heh)
- Lee Majors
- Armand Assante

... yeaaaah. And I know there are more names, I just haven't watched that much stuff. There are many people from BSG, I just don't know them.

Ahem. And that is only in a half-season, more or less, 12 episodes.

It's maybe because I had not seen Mark Valley anywhere before that - I had no preconception about him. JEH I'd only basically seen in Watchmen; and I was also encouraged by somebody who is JEH's ... very avid, loving fan, and focusing on him might help with the MV thing? Although, the dynamic among Winston, Chance, and Guerrero is what makes the show just a little more than simply crack and into fun. >.>

\o/ It's really much easier if you think of it as a crack show. With hippie!Rorschach, also known as (on my posts and comments) pocket ninja.
