Doctor Who: The Big Bang...

So. The Doctor dances.

At Amy's wedding.

That was charming.

1. Love it that we got the stars back.
   
   
2. Loved it that Rory guarded Amy in the Pandorica for 2,000 years.
   
   
3. Love it that Amy got parents, and her wedding, and her memory of the Doctor, too. With a little help from River Song.
   
   
4. So it looks as if River and Rory will be around next season, too. Or at least for the Christmas special.
   
   
5. Much as it all warmed my heart and made me go "aww, I like this", it still seemed simpler and less sophisticated than I wanted it to be. The universe ends and begins again, everyone dies, everyone lives... It is like a fairy tale or a game. In some ways, the Doctor seems less an alien and more a magician, in his fez, with a sonic screwdriver like a wand.
   
   
6. Loved him kissing Amy's forehead, and talking to Amelia while she slept
   
   
7. I did like the Doctor at the wedding. All dressed up in a top hat. In some ways Eleven is the inverse of Nine.
   
   
8. We never did find out why the TARDIS was exploding, which was really the central question.
