Overachieving beavers...
May. 12th, 2010 09:13 amI encountered this item on CBC radio:
the Mother-of-All-Beaver Dams. It's in Wood Buffalo National Park and is 850 meters long, about the size of the Hoover Dam. It's so big it's visible from outer space. It's so big, if you tipped it up on its edge, it would be 40 percent taller than the CN Tower. How busy those beavers must be.
I looked up Wood Buffalo National Park and found a picture of the dam. Yes, big.
And so very Canadian. Do other countries have news items about beaver dams?
