Castle - "Den of Thieves"

I watched this week's Castle episode tonight with maaseru, explodedteabag and Yolande. Loved it.

1. Anders, Anders, Anders! Oh, how pretty Michael Trucco is. And how great to see him here. I like his role.
   
   
2. Loved the way Castle and Demming interacted.
   
   
3. With the training scene at the beginning, I thought Trucco was going to be playing some version of Sam, Nikki Heat's trainer, whom she occasionally sleeps with. Maybe that was the sort of person Castle had in mind when he made up the character. Maybe that's making him all the more antsy about Demming.
   
   
4. Sadly, Hallowell was transparently a villain from the beginning. So much so that I was calling him "Fowler" from the start. (White Collar reference, if that needs eplanation.)
   
   
5. Nice seeing Esposito in such a meaty role for him. I enjoyed all the exploration of his character, and the way Ryan supported him.
   
   
6. Alexis playing poker was just plain fun. In this episode, more than usual, she seemed to be taking after her grandmother. Too bad Beckett didn't join them.
