A long, busy, pleasant day.

After going to the library I meant to take the bus to Billings Bridge, but discovered that traffice was detoured to avoid the intersection of Bank and Fifth, because there was a rather impressive fire going on near the corner. I don't know exactly where it was, but there were a number of fire trucks and you could smell the fire for many blocks. I therefore skipped the bus to Billings Bridge, where I meant to pick up the new Karin Lowachee novel; I'll go tomorrow instead.

I had a video-party and potluck supper with Tasia, Peter, gamergrrl, lunacy, and Beulah. We watched the first two episodes of Being Human and then the pilot episode of White Collar. Everyone was impressed with both. I noted that White Collar has well passed the first test of a fandom for me. I'm fussy about television; if I can bear to watch a show right through once, that's something. If I want to see it again, that's a good sign. If I watch it over and over (and over) and love it more each time, that's the sign that it's becoming a fannish passion. That's the case with White Collar.

Second test is reading the fic. I'm there, too.

Third test is writing the fic. Not there, not yet. But who knows?

After supper, we all went to the APA collation at Sheila's place. It was a bit of druge, as some pages were miscollated, and it took us ages to find the errors. But finally it was all done, and it was good to see everybody.
