Inspector Lewis...

Marion and Vicky came over for lunch today, with the first series DVD set of Inspector Lewis for me and maaseru to watch. We saw the pilot.

It was wonderful. I totally loved it: the script, the acting, the characters, the setting (Oxford, of course) and the Hamlet references.

Marion said she'd been reading Lewis/Hathaway slash. I wonder where she found it.

Yay for you being recruited into Lewis! I heart that show immensely.

As it happens, I just the other day set up a comm called lewis_hathaway here on Dreamwidth, but there's really nothing there yet. I'm hoping more people will find it once series four starts (which is allegedly very soon) and they want to talk about new episodes.

The only fic I've seen has been on Yuletide and in the Porn Battle oxoniensis runs in her journal. There's some well-written stuff there, but none of it is quite the take on the characters I'm wishing for.
