Eddie Iz Running...

I just watched the most amazing TV show - Eddie Izzard's Eddie Iz Running, part one.
I've always liked Eddie Izzard, because he's funny. And smart. And original.
But this TV show is how he got it into his head to run from London to Cardiff to Belfast to Edinburgh and back to London in ninety days - running thirty miles per day. He wasn't a runner, or even an athlete. Just a comedian with ambitions. He had five weeks to train beforehand. And he did it. He was followed by a bunch of TV cameras and an ice cream truck that gave free ice cream to anyone willing to make a donation to Sport Relief.
Now, we don't see him do the whole thing in the first episode. He's just got to the Brecon Beacons and the tough bit by the end of the fist episode. Suspense mounts. I can't even imagine having that strength of will. I wish.
I found it inspirational enough to go and spend twenty minutes on the treadmill after watching.
