Jeff Smith writes and draws <a href-"http://www.boneville.com/" target="blank">Bone, which is a wonderful first-class comic about a guy named Bone from Boneville and a girl named Thorn (who turns out to be a princess) and a cow race and dragons and unravelling of fate.... More than worth reading.
Among other creatures in Bone, there are the stupid, stupid rat creatures, who are sort of cute once you get to know them.
Now, Stupid, Stupid Rat Tails isn't about Bone, it's about his frontiersman ancestor Big Johnson Bone and Big Johnson's adventures with the Queen of the stupid, stupid rat creatures and her tail. And her son's tail. And ultimately everybody's tail.
Is it cute? Yes. Is it as good as Bone? Not by a long shot.
A nice back-up feature is done by Stan Sakai, the man who writes and draws the wonderful comic Usajo Yojimbo. It too is cute, but it too isn't a patch on Usajo Yojimbo which, like Bone (and maybe even more so) had breadth and depth and historicity and insight and breath-stopping bits.
