Ianto Holmes...

Does anyone here know anything about this version of Sherlock Holmes? Should I be looking forward to it, or worrying? Who is doing it? I always think "it's all in the writing" and looking at Paul Bales' credits doesn't impress me - Mega Shark vs. Giant Octobus and The Da Vinci Treasure?

The trailer... Erk. What has Gareth David-Lloyd done to make himself look so unimpressive and chubby? It looks a little like the Doctor Who episode "The Next Doctor" (not one of my favourites).

I have that vid and LOVED it! No, it isn't academy award material. But it was a HOOT! I did not much care for the guy who played Holmes... and it was kind of an AU Holmes (His first name was Robert.and his middle name was Sherlock??? His brother wasn't Mycroft...so to me AU).
But I've watched it twice and LOVE the way GDL plays Watson...he has a date, but Holmes demands his time...and we DID get that famous eye roll a couple of times and that sigh!
It was very well worth the the money!
Yes GDL looks a little chubby but I think some of fault for that is in the costuming (and some in the beer).
If you want a great movie...don't buy it...if you want an AU romp it's worth it... (by way of a disclaimer: I bought 'Method' BOTH versions/names (the US and the UK- the titles were different and I didn't know it was the same movie, LOL for the 5 minutes of Barrowman in it AND that horrible Megaloshark thingy)

I didn't buy Shark Attack but I did beg for it for Christmas. Shamelessly!
