Oct. 12th, 2003 11:35 amSilly stuff, but I'm in the mood, so I'll do this and then go to the fitness club, buy some food I need for supper, come back and cook and clean up the place for guests.... Such is Thanksgiving!
1. Your name spelled backwards. - Htebazile. Not euphonious.
2. Where were your parents born? - Mother: Toronto. Father: Leicester, England.
3. What is the last thing you downloaded onto your computer? Crazy Browser.
4. What's your favorite restaurant? Mitzi's on Bank Street. Close second: New Mee Fung on Booth.
5. Last time you swam in a pool? About fifteen or twenty years ago.
6. Have you ever been in a school play? Yes. I was a tree in kindergarten.
7. How many kids do you want? A moot point. I once wanted one. Badly.
8. Type of music you dislike most? I don't like/dislike music by genre, I judge it on a item by item basis.
9. Are you registered to vote? Does not apply. I'm not American. If I were American, yes, I would be registered to vote, though I don't quite understand the concept. It sounds like being registered to live.
10. Do you have cable? Yes.
11. Have you ever ridden on a moped? No.
12. Ever prank call anybody? No.
13. Ever get a parking ticket? No
14. Would you go bungee jumping or sky diving? No. I don't even want to go up in a balloon.
16. Do you have a garden? I have a few potted plants in my window.
17. What's your favorite comic strip? For Better or For Worse.
18. Do you really know all the words to your national anthem? Well, of course, and the first verse in French (not necessarily accurately). My favourite verse is the second than no one ever hears:

For religious reasons, I'm not too crazy over the reference to God but I like the rest.
19. Bath or Shower, morning or night? Shower. Preferably at night, usually in the morning.
20. Best movie you've seen in the past month? Notorious.
21. Favorite pizza topping? Pesto.
22. Chips or popcorn? Popcorn. The perfect food.
23. What color lipstick do you usually wear? Clear lip-gloss.
24. Have you ever smoked peanut shells? No.
25. Have you ever been in a beauty pageant? No. Are these questions getting silly, or what?
26. Orange Juice or apple? Depends whether I'm on my Ayurvedic diet or not. (Apple juice is okay, orange juice is to be avoided.) Yesterday I had apple juice. Today I had orange juice. I like both/either, though fresh orange juice is my favourite.
27. Who was the last person you went out to dinner with and where did you dine? A group of my slash friends at the Outback at South Keys last night.
28. Favorite type of chocolate bar? Skor. Second choice: O Henry.
29. When was the last time you voted at the polls? Oct. 2. Nine days ago.
30. Last time you ate a homegrown tomato? July, when someone brought some from his garden for us at work.
31. Have you ever won a trophy? No. Trophies are for sports and I don't do sports. Does a Huggy Award or two count?
32. Are you a good cook? I used to be.
33. Do you know how to pump your own gas? It isn't something I do, but yeah, I know how.
34. Ever order an article from an infomercial? No. I don't watch infomercials and don't intend to. I find them even more annoying than sitcoms.
35. Sprite or 7-up? Sprite, but no real preference. Root beer is my soft drink of choice.
36. Have you ever had to wear a uniform to work? how about school? I wore a waitress uniform when I was a waitress.
37. Last thing you bought at a pharmacy? Nail clippers.
38. Ever throw up in public? Yes. Frequently, as a kid. I got sick on buses and trolleys.
39. Would you prefer being a millionaire or find true love? True love. No question. I'm a romantic, and I'm suspicious of money.
40. Do you believe in love at first sight? Yes. Strongly. (Been there. Nothing illusory about it.)
41. Ever call a 1-900 number? I had to think for a minute to remember what a 1-900 number was. No, never.
42. Can ex's be friends? Yes.
43. Who was the last person you visited in a hospital? A friend.
44. Did you have a lot of hair when you were a baby? I don't recall.
45. What did you eat today? A bagel, two fried eggs, some bacon, orange juice, and coffee. So far.
46. What's your all time favorite Saturday Night Live Character? I only ever saw the episode with Ian McKellen, so I guess it was him.
47. What was the name of your first pet? Mousse. A fox terrier. A great dog.
48. What is in your purse? I don't often carry a purse. When I do, it has whatever I put in it: usually my wallet, a book, a tiny notebook and pen, and my glasses.
49. Favorite thing to do before bedtime? Read comics or novels or slash. (Assuming I'm alone.)
50. What is one thing you are grateful for today? One thing? Why limit it to one? Okay, I'm grateful to be feeling reasonably healthy. I hope and pray it lasts. I am thankful that I am healthy enough to be able to read.
