Just got back from the beautiful wedding of
commodorified,
raynedaze,
random and
fairestcat. I found it very moving, and it gave me hope for the world to see people so happy and so able to build their lives as they wish them to be.
fairestcat looked stunning, and
raynedaze was gorgeous.
I had a great time talking to
jsburbidge and
bunsen_h, whom I don't get to see nearly enough any more. And it was a treat to see Robin (does she have a livejournal?), whom I haven't seen since she moved away from town eleven years ago.
So I ate and talked and even danced, though it was John Barrowman's
Anything Goes that got me up and dancing.
The wedding was so beautifully
them that it had a warmth and sincerity you seldom see. I wish them every happiness.
And I wish
xinef good health.

I'd love a description of the ceremony, since I don't know how that was done.

Date: 2010-02-10 04:22 am (UTC)As for a description of the ceremony: perhaps one of the participants will describe it? I'd tell you about it in person easily enough, but I'm not sure I can write about it and get it right. I'll try.
In brief: first the minister/officiator invited people there to talk about their thoughts about those being married. People told anecdotes, or read poems, or wished them well. There was some ceremony with individuals from the four compass points walking around the room (as a circle) with bells or other symbolic items.
I hope you get to see good photos, and that I did, too - I neglected to take my camera.
