Barbados...

Oh what a gorgeous day! Barbados would be lovely for a longer stay. maaseru and I didn't spend much time in the city, Bridgetown, but took a photography tour by bus around the island, led by a local photographer.


1. Date pines at the avenue to an old estate, with gate.



2. A little girl in a window, watching the bus.



3. A bull and a bird in a field.



4. A little crab in the sand on the beach, at Bathdheba on the Atlantic Ocean. Less than an inch long, pink and white - so cute!



5. The coatline at Bethesday. No swimming here: there's a killer undertow. And it's straight on to Ghana, in Africa, over that ocean.



6. maaseru buying photographs from the photographer who conducted our tour, Ronnie Carrington. He was doubling as bartender and serving us our drinks, before he autographed the photos. He was terrific - an expert in photography, but also able to intelliently disccuss and explain all aspects of Barbados lore, from cricket to politics and the economy. You can tell he loves his country.
