Christmas Day...

Christmas morning with maaseru, explodedteabag, and Yolande. Theoretically, I got up early to cook the breakfast crepes; but I spent a while reading comics in a lazy fashion, before thinking: Yikes! I haven't done my exercises! I haven't made the crepes! I hope by the time my guests arrived, I looked all soignée and in control.

After breakfast, we opened the stockings, then we opened the other stuff. We maybe went a little overboard. Quality and quantity. I can't even pick out highlights. (Stephen Fry? Pearls? The Cambridge Illustrated History of the Middle Ages in three volumes? - I bet I had the heaviest presents in sheer poundage.) We were laughing and as gleeful as five year olds. In the best possible way. It was wonderful.

So then explodedteabag and I watched her new DVD about 1930s musicals a little, and maaseru and Yolande have gone to cook the turkey while I do the rest, except for cutting up the turnip, which became explodedteabag's job.

I also got distracted reading about Pamela Colman Smith. I think I'll write about her for the apa.

Aaah, what a lovely Christmas, and it's just getting better. The real food is still to come.
