Angel....

Angel is such a witty show. I just wish I could like it more. I loved it every time Spike opened his mouth - Spike is wonderful, and more than wonderful. Too bad the show has all those other characters in it.

Oh, dear, that sounds a little too snarky. I almost liked Angel this time. He has a certain deadpan appeal. (Loses me when he goes into action though.) Lorne is okay, and I have no problem at all with Gunn. Just don't like anyone else.... The women are particularly annoying. And all this, from the man who gave us some of the smartest, canniest, sexiest women I've ever seen on TV in Firefly.

Spike's dialogue makes up for the rest. I might even watch Angel again next week. Just for him.

Yeah, I don't know what they're doing to Lorne this season. He used to be so much more interesting. I can't look at DB; he's gotten puffy, and it's distracting.

Puffy? That doesn't sound good. I never did like to look at him, but he's more palatable than he uses to be - maybe it's just the repartee with Spike.

But weren't you traumatized when DB took off his shirt? All that pale blubber. So not the same thing when MR takes his shirt off. I think DB caused retinal damage.

I am accustomed to averting my eyes when Angel is on the screen, whether he is fully clothed or not. As for Lex Luthor.... Yum!

I resisted Angel for a long time but started watching regularly a year or so ago, and it's really grown on me. I can take or leave Angel himself, but I love the way Wes has changed over the years. He's so absolutely not the dork who arrived in Sunnydale.

But as for tonight's ep - didn't you just love Lorne's vision of Depp and Bloom playing the two vampires in love with the same slayer? LOL! I know I'd pay good money to see that!

It makes me happy to see Spike again. ::sigh::

I don't have any sense of what Wesley's like as a character, but I rather like his looks and general style. He isn't annoying.

Depp and Bloom - that was wonderful! Maybe the best line in the show. *Certainly* the best line that wasn't out of Spike's mouth.
