High Tea in Kanata...

Had a wonderful High Tea with at the Saundersons' today.

When we arrived in Kanata, there was white stuff on the ground. maaseru didn't believe me, but there it was. Denial will get her nowhere! No snow yet in Ottawa, but I saw some snowflakes falling yesterday evening. And it was cold enough for snow.

High tea: elegance with the silver tea service. Sandwiches (four kinds: smoked salmon and cucumber, Coronation chicken, egg salad, and chutney with cream cheese), biscuits made with orange peel and currants, and two kinds of quiche. Dessert: spotted dick with Devon's custard sauce, and lemon curd cake.

With tea from the silver teapot, served in the good china.

What fun.
