I bought a toaster today. I never really bought a toaster before.

See, I don't usually make toast - have it in restaurants sometimes, but not at home. About twenty years ago I got a toaster in a yard sale, but it was starting to malfunction, so last year I bought a toaster oven.

I used its oven function sometimes, but was just as happy to use my full-sized oven, and I could never coax it to make toast right.

So I gave it away, and today I went to Canadian Tire and bought a fully-functional, brand new, shiny toaster. And I just toasted a hot cross bun with it. Delicious!
