On Sunday, lunacy_gal helped me put a fireplace in my apartment. Not my fireplace; it's on loan. And beautiful, too, with optional flames or heat or both.

Installing it made it necessary to move the television, and as we moved it, some cables were dislodged. I put it back the way I thought it was, but it didn't work: I had no cable connection. After some blood, sweat and tears, I got the TV working and the DVDs working, but the DVR and the DVD player were backwards, so I could watch but I couldn't tape.

I spent an hour the next day fruitlessly trying to figure it out. Tonight explodedteabag came over and fixed it in about five minutes. Five minutes! I am awash in admiration and shame.

So we ate soufflé - explodedteabag said it was my best soufflé ever - and watched two season 2 episodes of Supernatural: "The Usual Suspects" and "Crossroad Blues". Two favourites of mine. Then we watched some season 2 bloopers, and some background interviews, and enjoyed it all mightily.
