On the cusp of October...

October is my favourite month. The weather is usually lovely - I like windy, cool, changeable days, and I don't like heat. We usually get snow in October, but not much of it. We get that beautiful clear golden sunlight and trees with red leaves. I hope I get to visit the Gatineau Hills sometime soon.

There's another reason to love October this year - I just turned the page on my 2003 Smallville calender and there is an utterly gorgeous picture of Lex. A close-up of his face. I think I'll keep this picture when we get to the Lana month (December, if I remember correctly.)

And less than 24 hours to go now till the new episode of Smallville.

I never really thought about it, but I think I'm the opposite. Because, for me, October *is* the time when autumn really sets in, and it starts to get dark in the late afternoons and early evening. Over here, September is the month of golden leaves and the glorious picture postcard autumns - golden,warm, brown, red, yellow - but October is when the leaves on the ground starts to turn to mud, and I normally slip on it ^_^ I

'm not a sun worshiper either, I prefer the cold to the heat. But I find October is sluggish, wet windy weather. When my unbrella gets turned inside out. I like November and December more, because it is 'crispy' cold.

But, I can't argue with the power of Lex. So maybe it's not a bad month after all *g*

October can be sluggish, wet and windy. But I like that because it doesn't stay so - November tends to be long, wet, dark days, but October is different every time you look at it. You can't depend on November or December. And early September is always too hot.

It strikes me too that Lex met Clark in October. A powerful combination. In my mind, October is Clex month.

Mm? Well, Lana can have December - what with Christmas, there are lots of nice things to take our minds off Lana that month...

There is something Decemberish about Lana - the Fairy Tale Princess is just a little like one of Santa Claus's elves, don't you think? In a dark and twisted way?

(Taking my mind off Lana by imagining Clark and Lex cuddling by the open fire at Luthor Manorand roasting chestnuts ... with heat vision.)
