The Ten Things I'd Most Like to See in Torchwood: Children of Earth...

Here we are, two-fifths of the way through Torchwood: Children of Earth, and I think I'll make a wish list.



Here's what I'd like to see:

1. More Jack/Ianto mushiness. Maybe even sex.
   
   
2. A warmer relationship between Jack and Alice. It broke my heart to see how she rejected him; and yet her point of view was so clear. I fear that it might be more likely that Alice will be killed, but I really, really hope not. (Why do so many fans believe that someone significant will be killed? Are they just incurable pessimists?)
   
   I'd also like to see Jack get to know his grandson. Stephen obviously likes his "Uncle Jack", and likes the idea of aliens, too. A chip off the old block.
   
   
3. More kick-ass Gwen being clever and competent. This, I think I will get. How nice to be able to say that with some confidence.
   
   
4. Playfulness between Jack and Ianto. Joking around. I know, it will probably all get worse before it gets better and they won't have the opportunity for playfulness, but I can hope.
   
   
5. Jack gets his wristband back. A greatcoat can be replaced. But that wristband? It's as rare as blasters from the weapon shops of Villangard. Time Agency issue: there's only one other wristband like it on Earth, and that one's smaller.
   
   
6. We are reassured that Myfanywy is alive and well, after gorging on sheep and seagulls.
   
   
7. Jack meets Rhiannon and family.
   
   
8. Ianto comes to terms with his sexuality, and stops hiding his relationship with Jack.
   
   
9. Lois Habiba joins Torchwood.
   
   
10. The Hub is rebuilt.
    

Of course, there's the whole matter of making sure the world survives, too.


This is a list of things I think there's a chance of happening, not off the wall stuff like the Doctor coming back for Jack and loving him again, or the return of Captain John Hart. No, this isn't my real wish list, it's my wish list within the realms of rationality.
