9 and other movies...

This evening explodedteabag and I watched this and got pulled right into the story: suspense, characterization, story development, climax.... I liked it very much. We both liked that version more than this one by Tim Burton, where the voices and explosions made it all seem more ordinary, more like a regular action film.

We also loved this: the trailer for Holmes. We liked the lines:

Watson: Holmes, does your depravity know no bounds?
Holmes: No.

And... Rachel McAdams! Go, girl!

We laughed at the line about "the end of the world as we know it" because one trailer after another of the things we were watching - they were all (except Harry Potter) about the pending end of the world, or post-apocalyptic... Our poor world is getting the death chop in a lot of coming movies. Makes me want to see Mamma Mia! again, really.
