The National Trust Book of Impossible Things...

A few very exciting purchases today, some by serendipity, some because they finally came in the mail, having been ordered a while back.

The most exciting was my order from Pixel Barrel from whom I bought the Doctor Who facsimile book The Journal of Impossible Things, a sonic screwdriver - which makes no noise, unlike my old one, but the light is terrific - and the action figure of Nine in a green shirt, with a bonus trading card showing Dalek Sec. Whom explodedteabag calls, not without reason, Darth Dalek.

I went into Book Bazaar because I happened to be walking along Bank Street, and I came out with a lovely book: The National Trust Book of Long Walks by Adam Nicolson. I am becoming reasonably obsessed with the idea of walking in the UK. (Yes, I'll need practice.) And it has beautiful pictures.
