More Supernatural...

Watched Supernatural episode 3x06 "Red Sky at Morning" this evening.

Thoughts:

1. Loved the theme of the ghost ship - nice atmosphere to it. But I wasn't sure I understood why they were ghosts coming back every 37 years, or why they picked the people they did. Were they implying that the dead runner had killed her friend deliberately?
   
   
2. Loved the special effects and the sets. Especially the watery brothers merging in the end.
   
   
3. Thought fondly of the days when Dean and Sam were smart. I really hate it when Bela steals from them, or tricks them, over and over. And over. She walks all over them, and for no good reason.
   
   
4. The older woman chasing after Sam was squicky, in a 'eyeu, older woman cooties' kind of way. I wouldn't have liked it with changed or reversed genders, either.
   
   
5. This is three lame plots (and dim Winchesters) in a row. I did like the story of this one - and I really liked the creepy wet sailor, the one with one hand. Me and my one-handed guys again. But really, it was as if they wrote the script in their sleep.
   

After we watched that one, episode 4x02 "Are You There God? It's Me, Dean Winchester" was on, and it was a delight to watch - intense interaction between Sam and Dean, Bobby being awesome and then some, and Castiel, Castiel, Castiel... in fine form.
