Supernatural..
May. 28th, 2009 11:42 pmWatched Supernatural again this evening with
- 3x04, "Sin City". Love the title. Quite liked the episode, too, but it gives the lie to Sam being the "clever" brother. What, he spills his heart and secrets to the kindly priest? Since when has he even met a kindly priest who isn't a nasty demon in disguise? There was a lot about this episode that adds up to "the only plot happened because everyone was being stupid" here, but I did love Dean's conversation with the bartender demon, and the scenes between Ruby and Bobby.
- 3x05, "Bedtime Stories". I'm tempted to laugh at this one; were the writers drunk when they came up with it? I can see someone speculating, "Fairy tales are really very scary," and I suppose they are, though it didn't come across here. Sam was actually kind of sweet but also incredibly stupid and a lot of the plot was cobbled together with threads so thin they were only held together by suspension of disbelief.
Still: we ended up with that fabulous scene between Sam and the Crossroads Demon. That made it all worthwhile. And I liked the frog. Someone should have kissed it.
My friends keep sending me links to YouTube vids, and even though I couldn't get YouTube to work much today, I was amused by these:
- Supernatural (Dean/Catiel) Subtext for Dummies
- "I believe in you and me" (Dean/Castiel) - oh, what a schmoopy angel!
