Graveside

Most people thought Toshiko was buried in London; Martha knew otherwise. She had examined Tosh's corpse in the Hub, and saw Jack lock it away, his face masking pain. Martha wept for the lonely, brilliant woman they had lost.

She stood now at the headstone, looking at the flowers Toshiko's grandfather had left. Such grief they felt, that family who didn't know half of it. They knew Tosh's worth--at least, Martha hoped they did--but did they know Tosh had saved the planet?

Did they know how many times?

Martha touched the stone, smiling. "Sleep sweetly, Tosh," she whispered.
