We all know I don't usually do spoilers. But at the moment, I can't resist. The item on the Sci-Fi web page led me to Dark Horizons, which said
Adding much fuel to the talkis word coming from the set of the final two specials, a two-parter, which are currently filming. The trio of Torchwood members (John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Gareth-David Lloyd), Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen) and her grandson Luke (Tommy Knight), and Donna Noble's grandfather Wilf Mott (Bernard Cribbins) and mother Sylvia (Jacqueline King) have all been photographed filming scenes.
This is the first I have heard that Captain Jack will be in the Christmas specials, but I've been hoping. And Sarah Jane, too.

As for the hints that the Master will be back - I'm not sure whether that pleases me, but it does not surprise me.

That article linked me to pictures from the set, including this picture and this, each one a treat. I've never seen Luke and the Doctor in the same picture before.

The news about the Torchwood trio makes me very happy, assuming that the specials are set in current time.

Since they seem to have set the specials in current time, I imagine they will continue to do so. Which means that will be the first time we see the Torchwood team after series 3. Seems they back-date the books, though I'm not sure when the three books that are coming out this spring will be set. Shortly after the end on "Exit Wounds", I would guess - but that's only a guess.
