Tennant and Davies talk about, among other things, John Barrowman's penis.
From The Times: I get tired of some of the Same Old Questions, but there were some delightful bits in this one - those men are delightfully funny. (A chipmunk drama? If Davies writes it, I'd watch it, god help me.) Highlights:
Russell T. Davies: ["The Planet of the Dead" is] our last chance to have a bit of a laugh. Now the Doctor’s facing the end of his life, it’s going to get dark.Oh dear. I don't like it so much when Russell T. Davies gets dark... not always. I'm happy if it's another "Doomsday", not if it's "The Last of the Time Lords". I hope he does it right. But this sounds promising:
Question: Come the final curtain, will there be a dry eye in the house? And Russell T Davies proves yet again that he is the ultimate fanboy:
RTD: I should f***ing think not!
David Tennant: Well, I cried.
RTD: I would have loved to have done a Star Trek crossover. The very first year, we talked about it. Then Star Trek finally went off air. Landing the Tardis on board the Enterprise would have been magnificent.I groan and roll my eyes. And then I can't help thinking: How would it go, when Spock meets the Doctor? Space and Time: the Final Frontier?(Sometimes I even roll my eyes at myself.)
David Tennant: DT I’ve been offered a sci-fi thing — that I’m not allowed to discuss.How... intriguing.
For us Captain Jack voyeurs:
Question:It’s been a bad year for the BBC — Sachsgate, the University Challenge debacle. There were even complaints about your colleague John Barrowman on the radio, getting his penis out.Hee: this is probably why Julie Gardner can't mention Captain Jack without calling him "naughty".
David Tennant: It’s never in.
Russell T Davies: That’s just normal!
David Tennant: (As if the world's gone mad) It was on the radio.
And I really liked what David Tennant said about Matt Smith: "We did chat on the phone. And we may well again, I suppose. But there’s nothing to say. He’ll do it his own way. He’s too good and too interesting an actor to want to know from anyone else how to do it." Bodes well.
Then they talked about his hair. Everyone talks about his hair. I don't think I've read or heard an item on Matt Smith yet that didn't talk about his hair. I wouldn't blame him if he shaved it off.... But I hope he doesn't. I'm one of the people who like his hair.
