I'm happy to be in whatever now offers me. It's nice to see the sunshine. It's nice not to be overloaded with warm coats and boots. It's nice to be able to walk without slipping.

My favourite season is autumn, but spring has its own pleasures: the sense of discovery and expectation at every new bit of growth and greenery, and every flower that blossoms.

Though we aren't to the flowery stage yet, not here.

THAT in particular.

Even if it's still quite cold, the point at which I can safely wear shoes outside is simply wonderful.

I hope I find time to go for a walk tomorrow. It gives me such a sense of freedom and self-sufficiency. It's getting better all the time.

Largely agreed -- I like all four seasons, though neither of the extremes of summer or winter appeal. Both are stressful.

Seeing you today (for lunch) and our walk afterward was *much* appreciated, even if we didn't get around to talking about matters medieval. While I was aware of your interest in yoga, I was *not* aware of how supportive you were of the movement -- or how congruent your views of medicine were with mine, even if we reached the same conclusions from different directions.

As for Harry, I *do* suspect that heavy-metal poisoning may have played a role ... though most people do not connect OTC drugs with that, do they?

Always fun. I need to find time to read more history; I'm feeling so out of touch with my medieval background.

If people aren't told, they don't know. And of course the pharmaceutical companions don't want people to know about the possible downside of their products. They play on our desire to get rid of pain fast - at any cost.

I used to read all the Hugo nominees for best novel - now I don't try. (Well, I'm not voting, either.) I'd like to see "Turn Left" win. Let Moffat share the glory.

On Wednesday, I saw blooming daffodils on my drive to work. There were on a south-facing slope, sheltered from the wind. Also, the little frogs are awake and peeping... yep, it's spring.

Oooooooooooh, flowers!

We'll get them soon. Really. Should be some crocuses around one of these days.

My sister in Frostburg, Maryland, said she saw something today, what was it...? Oh! Forsythia. In La Vale. And here, daffodils everywhere. Even at my house! That little pocket of chilliness!

Saw a fellow mowing his lawn, on my way to work today. Heh. I hardly think it needed it. I think he just wanted to get out there and enjoy the day.

Your icon is lovely.

At least there was lawn to see. We're still losing the snow. But most flat bits, or places where there is sometimes sunshine, are clear now.
