Clean kitchen...

Okay: I spent most of the day reorganizing my kitchen. A good part of the morning, actually, was spent shopping for necessary items, after eating breakfast at the Mayflower with Marcelle - my old favourite, Eggs Florentine. The shopping was for mostly mundane things (a pail, a dishrack). I wanted to get a bookcase, but actually didn't. I also wanted to get the CD of Tolkien reading selections of his works, but the bookstore only had it on audiotape. Anyway.... the kitchen. I completely cleaned my kitchen.

The Apocalypse must be due or something.

I am an appalling housekeeper most of the time. Every decade or so I get my act together and actually do something effective. Reorganized the cupboards, scrubbed everything. It took most of the day and now I'm beat.

But happy, and feeling reasonably virtuous.

Tomorrow, I'm attacking the living room. And watching "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" again while I do it.

Congratulations! I know that after cleaning, and everything is put in its right place, I feel so much better. The hard work is worth it! :) I can't wait to see it. :D :D

Sadly I have a way to go before everything is in its right place, but the kitchen is under control and the bedroom is almost done and the living room - oh my. It's already different. New furniture. (Well, new previously-owned.) Life is good.
