"Fajrdrako" is pronounced "fire-dracko". It's an Esperanto word meaning 'fire dragon'.

I chose a dragon name because I was born in the Year of the Dragon.

I chose it in Esperanto because I love the language and the way it sounds, and because no one else had that user-name. There are variations of dragon names around, but not in Esperanto.

Oh, that's fascinating! Mine's much more prosaic, I fear.

But that was intersting, too. I like the way we all have different rationales for our names.

Uh... I watched an episode of Red Dwarf once, I think, but I'm not exactly a fan - I don't generally watch comedy. Why do you ask? Did I make an unwitting reference? I know there's a cat in it....

I'd forgotten (if I ever knew) that Esperanto was used in Red Dwarf. I learned it way before that, as a teen. It's always fun to see where it crops up in mass media - which it doesn't do very often, and usually now in a derogatory way. I still love Esperanto with a passion, and love seeing it mentioned in places like Red Dwarf.
