Mistaken Identity

Spring, 1942. Estelle was young, happy and in love. Jack would be back in London in a week. Could she bear to wait seven days?

Then she turned a corner, and saw him. Looking right past her.

"Jack!" she called.

He looked at her as if she were a stranger, and grinned. "Hello, beautiful. Have we met?"

It looked just like him, but it couldn't be the same man who'd been in her bed two days ago. "I'm sorry," she said, blushing. "You look like someone I know. His name is Jack."

Jack was smiling still. "Lucky Jack," he said.

That's it. Dontcha hate it when you meet someone who's met you before but you haven't met them yet? ...The Doctor had the same problem with River.
