Suddenly I can't download pictures. I click "save image as" and nothing further happens. Why not?

Some websites have "intellectual property security" measures against that sort of thing these days. Or was this consistently happening no matter which websites you're visiting?

Which browser are you using? Try a different one, also.

In a pinch, on Windows, try right clicking on the image, then select Copy Image, then go to RUN in your start menu (or press the logo key + R), type mspaint, then paste (ctrl+V) inside it.

Yes! I switched to Internet Explorer and it works fine. Which means my problem is with Firefox, and I'll download it again as soon as I can figure out how to save the bookmarks.

I wish techie stuff came naturally to me, but it doesn't. It's all a tool for writing and reading and (in better circumstances) collecting pictures.

I have no problem now I'm using Internet Explorer, so I guess what I'll have to do is download Firefox again.
