I'd invited my friends Pat and Sandi over to see the Doctor Who 2007 Christmas Special, Voyage of the Damned - my favourite of the Christmas specials.
They noticed the suitcases in my bedroom, and asked, jokingly, if I were going somewhere. I explained how my old chest of drawers (which they'd given me in the first place) had given up the ghost and how I was going to assemble the new chest of drawers from Ikea that was waiting in boxes till I could get it assembled.
Pat looked thoughtful, and then, as we started watching Voyage of the Damned, he started puttering with it. He did it slowly and methodically, and now I have a beautifully assembled chest of drawers in my bedroom.
After enjoying Voyage of the Damned, we watched two episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures, "The Warriors of Kudlak".
While making my grasshopper pie earlier, I watched Torchwood 2x01, "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang". Enjoyed it mightily. This time I interpreted the Jack/Ianto office scene (where Jack asks Ianto on a date) somewhat differently than before. Interesting...

Date: 2009-02-17 01:41 pm (UTC)All I need now is to put my drawers in the drawers... the clothes are all still in the suitcases. There's my priorities for you: instead of putting the clothes away, I came to talk about it on LJ.
