Generally speaking, I'm more into fantasizing about what characters I would like to be, but here are ones I wouldn't trade lives with:

1. John Constantine. All the demons on earth and in hell have it in for him.
   
2. Captain John Hart, because he loved and lost Captain Jack Harkness.
   
3. Songlian Lau, because she loved and lost Captain Cairo Azarcon.
   
4. Ges Vorrutyer, because he loved and lost Aral Vorkosigan.
   
5. Khiaya Khatun, because she loved and lost Francis Crawford of Lymond.

Actually, I do believe it's better to have loved and lost than not to have loved. But the truth is, I've had enough loving-and-losing in my own life, if I'm going to switch lives with a fictional character, I'm going to pick someone successful in love.

But... heh... not Ianto.

Maybe the Doctor, who could have Jack with a snap of the fingers, if he wanted. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Hmm. I don't think I'd want to be any Torchwood character. Well, maybe Jack.

Not being able to die appeals, despite the grimmer aspects of immortality. I'd probably attempt bungee-jumping.

I'd like to be Jack, because of the healing thing. And the good sex. And because I'm already like him, I think, personality-wise.

I wouldn't mind being Gwen, though I'm not much like her. Wouldn't want to be Toshiko (as written), Owen (heaven forbid, he got the worst of it) or Ianto. Martha - dfeinitely.
