The Fix

Captain John tried small talk. "How's the pet Earthling?"

Jack raised his eyebrows. John elaborated. "Eye Candy. Boytoy. Your Welsh rarebit." John was never subtle, but you didn't need to be in the Reunion. His eyes devoured Jack.

Jack was amused. "Jealous? Down, boy. You've no claim on me."

John gestured to his lemonade. "I gave up booze, drugs, murder for you. Just for you."

"Forget it." Jack stood to leave. "Conversation over: no."

John grabbed his wrist. "My only fix, seeing you. Please!"

"You might try showing some respect for Ianto."

John smiled sweetly. "Mr Jones. How is he?"
