2. I bought some software that I use for work (I sometimes show videos in class for educational purposes, and our online streaming sometimes doesn't work well) - it wasn't expensive, but I can't remember the name of it right now - I'll let you know when I get back to my work computer.
Do you use firefox? Don't use a program to download videos, use an extension. I have a bunch of them, which work different and do different things, depending on what you need. My favorite converts to MP4 as it downloads, so I can stick them on my zune
You can use add-ons in firefox (there's a bunch of highly-rated ones) to allow downloads. From your Firfox toolbar, select Tools and then Add-ons, and then Get Add-ons, and it will take you to the official add-ons page and you can search from there.
1. Up at the top of the page is your name - hover over it and select favorites. It should bring up a list of all your favorited videos with ticky boxes on the side that will allow you to delete them. (Here is a quick link to get you there automatically - YouTube Favorites (http://www.youtube.com/my_favorites).)
2. If you have Firefox, add the Flash Video Resources Downloader (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5229). It will put a tiny icon in the bottom right corner of your browser. When you're at YouTube and you want to download the video, click the icon and it will open a new tab to allow you to download the video in normal resolution, HD resolution, and mp4 format. I use it often and it works great.
I have a small program called vdownloader, if you put that in Google, it should show up. It dls as avi file, you have a few other options. And it's free.
I'm not sure if this is the information you're after, but to delete any of my favourite clips, I click on "Account" which is next to my logged in name on the YouTube page. Then I click on "Favourites" under "My Videos", and next to each favourite is a "remove" button.
I use www.keepvid.com to download YouTube clips. I noticed elebridith mentioned VDownloader, which I found and downloaded. I was very interested in it, because it downloads the clips to avi. file, which I hoped I could play in my DVD player. Unfortunately, though, none of my DVD players recognise the format, so I only get sound, with no picture. :-(

Date: 2009-01-25 09:36 pm (UTC)DVD players can be finicky. If you find something that can be recognized by a DVD player, let me know. That would be very cool.
