Piglet. Always did. Strongly.

I'm not sure I'm proud of that, now.

Happy Winnie the Pooh Day to everyone! That's one of my favourite books. And a delightful one to read in foreign languages.

Jen Eduardo Urso, kiu malsupren venas, frapante la sxtupojn, bam, bam, bam, per la kapo, post Kristoforo Robino.

Or, more famously:

Ecce Eduardus Ursus scalis nunc tump-tump-tump occipite gradus pulsante post Christophorum Robinum descendens.

I'd identify most with Christopher Robin on my good days, and Eeyore on my bad days.

Both good choices! I've come to appreciate Eeyore more as I age.

My favourite was Owl. He was SO inventive.

I love the Latin version of the opening line -- it's almost as good as the English. "Tump-tump-tump" just sounds better than "bam-bam-bam".

I liked Owl, and I liked his house.

"Tump-tump-tump" just sounds better than "bam-bam-bam".

"Bam-bam-bam" has connotations in English that don't really fit.

Winnie Ille Pooh - fabulous book. The only Latin book that I've ever read - with my crib sheet in hand. I'd like to say that I identify most with Willie but I suspect that I'm more like Eyore. Always melancholy unless I have my honey.

Always melancholy unless I have my honey.

Hee - that describes many people I know!

What language is the first one? It looks both strangely familiar and not - is it Esperanto?

Yes, the first one is Esperanto. "Strangely familiar and not" is a good description for Esperanto. The accent resembles the Italian accent.

I too identify with Eeyore ... far too melancholy for my own good, perhaps. :-/

Oh dear. There seem to be a preponderance of Eeyores around me. Surely there are some Tiggers somewhere?
