It was a morning of housework, laundry, making potato-leek soup, and going to Bridgehead with
maaboroshi.
Bridgehead is a wonderful coffee shop that used to be on the corner of my street, but a while ago it moved one block further away, and I hadn't been to the new site yet. So
maaboroshi and I went this morning, and I had hot chocolate and a croissant, and saw their wall of plants, which is gorgeous - I must make a point of photographing it on my next visit.
In the afternoon, we went back to the hospital to see
maaseru. Vicky and Marion were already there when we got there; shortly after they left, Munro and Sue (friends of
maaseru's from work) arrived.
The ninety-five year old woman in the bed across from
maaseru was named May, and her nieces were visiting her, as they did yesterday. Every time they called her "Aunt May", I found myself looking around for Peter Parker.
maaseru is pretty much herself again - maybe not entirely mobile, but full of motion anyway, and acting quite like herself.
