Saturday morning, and my neat schedule is wrecked...

I got up this morning with good intentions - did a lot of laundry, had breakfast with maaseru and then coffee with maaboroshi... And then I was listening to John Barrowman on YouTube as I was making apple crisp for dessert tonight, and my computer cut him off in mid-word. The computer just... died.

And I can't get my Linux system to connect to the Net, even though we already had my settings installed. Left a message with my repair folks.

So we borrowed maaseru's laptop as a stopgap measure, but I'm hankering for my computer back.

I suppose it's time to return to the housework I was about to do.

Oh noes!

So it did switch back on but now won't let you get online, did I get that right? Because that situation, coupled with maaseru's laptop, is infinitely to be preferred to a computer which dies and stays dead...

Three computers:

(1) My regular Dell that I love and normally used is dead as Marley's ghost, dead as a oarrot, dead as Boromir

(2) My Linux has erased all its net conncections and I can't get them to work again

(3) maaseru's laptom is working fine, though it just lost its net connection for a few minutes, JUST TO DRIVE ME CRAZY (and it worked!)

So I'm now on no, 3, and trying to get in touch with the repair place re my Dell.

Sigh.
