I watched The Bodyguard this evening with [livejournal.com profile] maaseru. This movie is one of my favourites; I watch it about once a decade. It's the only movie I ever liked Kevin Costner in. It's the only movie I ever saw Whitney Houston in. I enjoy it immensely: it's what a romance should be.

We were interested to see Nathaniel Parker in it, an actor who seemed exceedingly familiar but we couldn't place him. Turns out we were thinking of Skimpole in Bleak House, though I've also seen him in Stardust and Inspector Morse.

Spent considerable time sleeping today. And writing. And just... relaxing. And wrapping presents while watching the Faux Fire videotape, set (mostly) to the sound of the fire rather than Christmas music.

He's also Inspector Lynley. And he was Cassio in the Laurence Fishburne/Kenneth Branagh film of Othello.

Glad you're having a good holiday.

I've been wanting to watch that.

I loved that movie. Mostly because of Fishburne.

Glad you're having a good holiday

It's been lovely.

Having a fireplace going within visual and auditory range sounds just about heavenly to me. Nonverbal communication at its near-best.

Happy holidays to you! Did you get to hear any church choirs?

No, I didn't hear any church choirs this year. Did you? It's been nice, though.
