I don't know why but I read that as Braces for your teeth than Braces meaning suspenders.

It's one of those British/American confusions. "Suspenders" is the word I'd normally use but since it's a British source I try to call it "braces".

Jack might look cute with braces on his teeth. He manages to look cute every other way.
