Aftershocks

Ianto sat on the hard floor at Torchwood, leaning against a wall, shivering. He had almost been eaten by cannibals. He knew there were risks involved in fieldwork, but being butchered by other Welshmen was surely the worst way to die.

Jack looked down at Ianto, then sat beside him, smiling. What was there to smile about?

"You've alive," said Jack.

"Yes."

"You should rest."

"I don't want rest."

"Then what do you want?"

"I want to hold your hand."

Jack took Ianto's hand in his. "I'm here." He lifted the hand and kissed the palm. "I'm here with you."

Aw, it's a cheesy challenge, but this is a lovely drabble!

I had trouble with the notion of a cheesy challenge - I can writer cheesy, easy, but I can't do it on purpose! I ended up making it like "base a drabble on a Beatles song title" and that worked well enough.

I like to think it made Ianto mist up, too. And I like palm kisses. And I like any scenario where Jack is being tender.

I also like exploring the limits of Ianto's control. The difference between Ianto when he's being all smooth and calm, and when he's emo and out of control.
